Welcome to AIAUM ("The Pulse of Unama'ki"). By using our mobile application and services, you agree to these Terms of Service. AIAUM is operated by Synexiom Labs Inc.

1. Service Description

AIAUM is a local news and events aggregation platform for Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia. We provide:

• AI-generated summaries of news articles from local sources
• Community events calendar
• Push notifications for news and events matching your preferences
• User-submitted community events (subject to approval)

2. Account Registration

• You must provide a valid email address to create an account
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account
• You must be at least 13 years old to use this service
• One account per person; accounts are non-transferable

3. Content Disclaimer

News Content: AIAUM aggregates and summarizes news from third-party sources. We do not create original news content. AI-generated summaries may not perfectly reflect the original article. Always refer to the original source for the complete and authoritative version.

Accuracy: While we strive for accuracy, we make no guarantees about the completeness or accuracy of aggregated content or AI-generated summaries. News content is provided "as is" from third-party sources.

4. Event Submissions

When submitting community events:

• You must provide accurate and truthful information
• All submissions are subject to review and approval
• We reserve the right to reject or remove any submission
• Do not submit events for illegal activities or events that promote discrimination
• You grant us permission to display submitted event information within the app

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the service for any illegal purpose
• Attempt to access accounts or data belonging to other users
• Interfere with or disrupt the service or its infrastructure
• Use automated tools to scrape or access the service
• Submit false, misleading, or spam content

6. Push Notifications

By enabling push notifications, you consent to receive notifications about news and events matching your selected preferences. You can modify or disable notifications at any time through the app settings.

7. Intellectual Property

Third-Party Content: News articles and their content belong to their respective publishers. We link to original sources and provide proper attribution.

AIAUM: The AIAUM app, its design, logo, and AI-generated summaries are the property of Synexiom Labs Inc.

8. Limitation of Liability

AIAUM is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. Synexiom Labs Inc. shall not be liable for:

• Inaccuracies in aggregated content or AI summaries
• Service interruptions or downtime
• Actions taken based on information provided through the app
• Loss of data or unauthorized access to your account

9. Account Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us. Upon deletion, your personal data will be removed from our systems.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

11. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Nova Scotia, Canada.
